Nieuw album Interpol in september: El Pintor

Het heeft een lange tijd geduurd, het laatste album kwam vier jaar geleden uit, maar de band uit New York brengt dit najaar weer een nieuw album uit met de naam El Pintor. Vanaf 8 september is de nieuwe plaat verkrijgbaar.
Interpol bestaat sinds 1998 en bracht twee hele succesvolle album uit: Turn on the Bright Lights (2002) en Antics (2004). Our Love to Admire (2007) werd minder lovend ontvangen en het zelfgetitelde album (2010) nog minder. Carlos D. verliet de band niet veel later en werd vervangen door David Pajo tijdens live optredens. Op El Pintor zal zanger Paul Banks zelf de bas spelen. De band speelt 20 juni op Best Kept Secret.

It’s been a long time coming but we’re finally ready to share some new album news. We’d like to announce the release of our upcoming new album, El Pintor. We wrote & recorded the bulk of the album in 2013 in NYC and finished mixing it in London during the early part of this year. We’re very excited to share the album with all of you. The album was recorded at Electric Lady Studios & Atomic Sound by Mr. James Brown and mixed by Mr. Alan Moulder at Assault & Battery studios. We had a lot of fun making this record and can’t wait for you to hear it.
