Nieuw album: Maps - Colours. Reflect. Time. Loss

Maps (James Chapman) is een Mercury-genomineerde componist en producer. De ultieme “bedroom producer” komt met zijn vierde album ‘Colours. Reflect. Time. Loss.’ waarbij hij juist zijn slaapkamer is uitgestapt voor zijn grootste samenwerkingsproject tot nu toe.
Beluister als voorproefje single ‘Just Reflecting’. ‘Colours. Reflect. Time. Loss.’ is een 3-jarig project waarbij hij collaboreert met klassiek ensemble The Echo Collective, verschillende percussionisten en vocalen om zo en meeslepend en impressionistisch geluid te creëren.
“I wanted to push everything to the limit with this record, and explore new territory for Maps. The orchestral instrumentation and addition of other musicians and singers played a huge part in finding the purer and more human emotion I was searching for. I learnt the violin as I was growing up, so I’m glad it finally came in useful!” ‘Colours. Reflect. Time. Loss’ is een album rijk aan levenservaring en komt uit op 10 mei.
